How I can get my Midi Piano trigger sound effects in my computer?
What I'm trying to do is this: I am working as labor scene for a play and would like some sound effects caused by my digital piano. It has the ability to store and assign each sound clips one of the keys, but it is the "General Midi compatible. It is a Casio LK-200 keyboard (One of the keys light up jobbies) I've been doing some research and I know I have all the necessary components. I do not need a midi controller, because my keyboard just connects directly to computer via USB. I can get to recognize in FL Studio and FL Keys plugin works correctly (I got excited when I got to work) I have about 30 wav files on my computer I want to activate by pressing a key on the piano. I guess there is no easy answer to this problem, but I guess it's just a bit of terminology that I have not learned yet that is holding me back. Plese help!
You need a software sampler. This type of application allows you to assign a wave file to a particular key. Reaktor is a best samplers around, but costs about $ 400. Do not have a site where you can find free samples that can satisfy you. You're in luck!
